It is quite a complex job to change ink cartridge of printer. If you are using device from Lexmark, you would find that despite changing or replacing cartridge, chip beside the cartridge says that ink is “low”. Those, who are not experienced, may completely be misguided with such display. They instantly think that new ink cartridge has not been installed properly. There could have been some errors when installing it. In reality, this is an error with chip. Installing new cartridge does not reset settings of chip. As a result, errors are experienced. 3. After some time, turn it on again, and then press as well as hold ready and return buttons simultaneously. The device will start performing a self test, which can be notified through blinking display button.
4. Keeping pressing menu button on the machine and gently navigate “maintenance count” option. Now, opt for pressing reset button and this will set maintenance counter to zero.
5. Now, you have to release “Return” key of your device. This will exit diagnostics part and return back to normal menu. To exit normal functioning mode of your printing machine, hit “Reset” option once again.
6. Now, this is the time to take a test print so that you can be assured of the fact that device is working accurately. For that, you need to open a PDF file and then go to “File” menu at the top menu bar. Now, click on “Print” to initiate printing process. If paper is printed properly, your device is definitely in the optimal functioning state.
